Angie Richey, MPH, RD, SNS, has been working in school nutrition for over 15 years in districts ranging from 1,500-37,000+ students in MN. She studied Nutritional Science at the University of WI-Madison and completed her Master of Public Health at the University of MN- Twin Cities. Beginning her career at St. Paul Public Schools, she has been passionate in helping to make schools the healthiest chain restaurant available and teaching kids good eating habits for life. As a director, Angie steers her districts towards culturally inclusive menus, upgrade kitchens and equipment to facilitate scratch cooking, integrates local foods wherever possible, fosters safe and healthy work environments, and trains staff to ensure they are ready to take on any menu transitions.
