Marinara Sauce
Plant-Forward, Red Orange Vegetable
Yield: 10 Cups
Ingredients
1/2 c Olive oil, light
3 qt (#10 can) Marinara sauce, enhanced, Red Gold
1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes, crushed
1 tsp Italian seasoning, dry
Method
- Pour the marinara sauce into a 6” deep hotel pan 
- Sprinkle the seasonings on top of the sauce 
- Pour the olive oil on top and do not mix together 
- Bake in a 350F oven for 25 minutes, the top will get dark in color and the edges will get very dark as well, this is expected 
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes 
- Whisk the sauce to mix everything together well and then transfer to a storage container 
- Chill to below 40F within 2 hours 
- Store chilled at 40F or below with a lid and labeled
