Chef Kevin Jenkins currently serves as the Culinary & Executive Chef for Garland ISD. Kevin has been with Garland ISD since May of 2022. Prior to starting with Garland ISD, Kevin began his culinary journey by serving 10 years in the United States Navy as a Culinary Specialist. In his last 3 years of service, Kevin was also a member of the Pentagon’s Culinary Arts Team.  After serving in the military, Kevin held multiple positions from Executive Chef with Dell EMC to Assistant Food Service Director and Executive Chef with Meals on Wheels.

Kevin received his Degree in Culinary Arts from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in December 2016. The American Culinary Federation also certifies him as a Chef de Cuisine. Kevin is currently an active member of the Texas Chef Association, The American Culinary Federation, Texas Association for School Nutrition and the School Nutrition Association and The Culinary Institute of America Healthy Kids Collaborative.
