Kelly R. Price, MS, RD, LDN serves as the Director of Food & Nutrition for Manheim Township School District in Lancaster, Pennsylvania which serves approximately 980,000 meals each year. With more than 22 years of food service experience spanning both the restaurant and school nutrition industries, Kelly brings a strong culinary foundation and a passion for creating meaningful food experiences for students.

Kelly earned her Culinary degree and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in School Business Leadership from Wilkes University.

Located in the heart of Lancaster County farmland, Kelly has embraced the opportunity to make Farm to School an integral part of the district’s food and nutrition program. She works closely with local farmers, produce auctions, and organizations such as PASA and NCAT to connect students with fresh, locally grown foods and the agricultural community around them.

One of Kelly’s greatest passions is the district’s Cultural Corner, which introduces K–12 students to foods and flavors from around the world. Through scratch and semi-scratch cooking, creative recipe development, and collaboration with her culturally diverse staff, students are encouraged to “stamp their passports” as they explore new countries and cuisines through food.

Kelly also loves interacting directly with students through her popular “Would You Eat It Wednesday?” tasting events, where students have the opportunity to sample new foods, share their opinions, and expand their palates. Whether connecting students with local farms or introducing them to global flavors, Kelly is committed to making school meals an engaging, educational, and delicious part of the student experience.
