Amy Richardson serves as the Culinary Training Specialist for the Virginia Department of Education, Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs. Through developing training and resources, including managing the Virginia Recipe Development Team, Amy equips school nutrition professionals at every level with the culinary skills and tools needed to produce high-quality, delicious meals.

Prior to joining VDOE, Amy managed school and restaurant kitchens for over two decades. This experience informs Amy’s work and ensures program resources are practical and supportive of school nutrition professionals throughout Virginia. She holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University and a Certified Professional Project Manager credential from the University of St. Thomas.
