Alessandro Palumbo has spent over two decades immersed in the food service industry, beginning his career in grocery stores and catering halls before refining his craft through culinary school and in restaurant and country club kitchens. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated his work to Child Nutrition, including nine years serving in New York City—the largest school district in the country. Since 2020, he has proudly led the food service program at Farmingdale UFSD, while also serving as the OGS SLAC Representative for Area K/W and currently as President of the Long Island School Nutrition Directors Association. Beyond his professional work, food remains his greatest passion—whether creating new dishes in the kitchen or exploring global cuisines through travel.
